Chicken Feed Mill Production Technical Parameters

The pellet fed to chicken is different from the cattle, pigs and the fishes. The Feed Pellet Produced by Chicken Feed Mill shall meet the following technical parameters standards.

1. Feed pellet diameter: the diameter or thickness range is between 3.2-5 mm.

 

2. Feed pellet length: the length need to be 1.5-2 times of the diameter, it has to be controlled very well, for long pellet is more likely to cause the chicken to choke when fed.

3. Feed pellet water content: for normal storage requirement, the water content in south areas is less than 12.5%; in north areas is less than 13.5%. If you need to store the feed pellet for a long time, water content shall be lower.

4. Feed pellet density: pellet with high density are high quality pellet products, it is more tight and not easy to break into pieces, but high density would also cause the problems of the smaller yield of chicken feed mill and the bad palatability.

5. Powder rate: powder form raw material rate in the pellet product, it should be lower than 5%.
